Przeczytaj oryginałPDF to URL: Share a Document, Verify Access and Fix Upload Errors
Prepare a PDF within the current 10MiB tool limit, publish a direct link, choose a link or embed, and diagnose invalid documents without exposing private information.

Use PDF to URL when you already have a PDF and need a link to that document. The tool hosts a file; it does not turn an arbitrary web page into a PDF, create an email-gated landing page, or decide who is allowed to read the contents.
Check the document-specific limit first
The current PDF selection interface accepts one .pdf file up to 10MiB, or 10,485,760 bytes. The site's larger audio or paid video limits are not the PDF form's limit. If an operating system shows a rounded size near 10MB, inspect the byte count or leave some margin after export.
Before uploading, open the PDF locally. Check the first and last pages, page order, fonts and any links. Remove comments, personal metadata and attachments that should not be shared. A document can look harmless on its first page while still containing names, financial data or hidden revision material elsewhere.
The server checks that the file has a supported PDF envelope and also applies the upload security pipeline. Those checks do not replace your review of confidential content and do not guarantee that every PDF viewer can handle every feature.
Upload, then check what the reader will receive
- Open the PDF tool, select or drop the document and confirm the filename and size.
- Start the upload and wait for the success result. A filename displayed in the form does not mean the file is hosted yet.
- Copy the direct URL from the result panel.
- Open the copied link separately. Confirm that it resolves to the intended document, not an old revision or a browser-local address.
- Check more than the cover: page count, the last page, searchable text and any links your readers need.
For example, a public setup-checklist-v3.pdf might be suitable for a support article. A customer-specific signed contract is a different access problem. This filename is illustrative; no real client document or public sample is supplied by this guide.
HTTPS protects the transfer connection. It does not restrict a shared direct URL to a named recipient. Anyone who obtains the URL may be able to open or download the document. If the material must be private, use a system that enforces the access requirement rather than uploading it and hoping that the link stays undiscovered.
Pick a delivery method instead of promising a preview
| Delivery method | Use it for | Boundary to explain to readers |
|---|---|---|
| Direct URL | A download, email reference or support reply | The reader's browser may display the PDF or download it. |
| Markdown link | A repository document, wiki or supported editor | It creates a link; it does not necessarily render the PDF inline. |
| HTML link | A page you control | Provide meaningful link text, including the format where useful. |
| BBCode link | A forum supporting that syntax | Test the destination forum rather than assuming all forums behave alike. |
An HTML example for your own site:
<a href="YOUR_CONFIRMED_PDF_URL" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">
Download the setup checklist (PDF)
</a>
Replace the placeholder with your result. The example is not a hosted PDF. If your site requires an inline viewer, test the chosen viewer's support, accessibility and fallback download behavior separately. An iframe or viewer does not create access control.
Make a shared revision unambiguous
The returned URL identifies an uploaded object. Do not promise that uploading another file with the same local name overwrites that URL. After a revision, treat the new returned URL as a new publication: update your support page, wiki or email template and verify the destination again.
A small release record is enough: document title, revision date, page count, intended audience and the location where its link was published. Do not include credentials or private account identifiers. Keep the original file in your own controlled storage; a sharing host is not a permanent archive guarantee. Check the applicable terms and current tool notices for retention and usage conditions.
For a resource that should appear in search, put an explanation on a real page on your own site. State who the document is for, which revision it is and what it contains. A file link alone does not supply all of that context. For related media, use the image tool or video tool rather than renaming another format to .pdf.
Troubleshoot by symptom
| Symptom | Likely check | Useful next step |
|---|---|---|
| The form reports a size error | The actual document bytes exceed the form's 10MiB limit | Reduce embedded image resolution, remove unused pages, or split the document into clearly named parts. |
| The service reports an invalid PDF | The file was renamed, truncated or exported incorrectly | Open it locally and export a new PDF from the original application. Renaming a Word document is not conversion. |
| Upload is busy or temporarily unavailable | Current service capacity or security checking is unavailable | Retry later using the same local original; repeated rapid requests do not bypass the condition. |
| A usage limit is shown | The applicable account or daily allowance | Follow the actual message and consult plans; reducing file size does not necessarily reset a daily count. |
| The link opens but the PDF looks different | Fonts, reader compatibility or the chosen revision | Compare in the intended reader and re-export if necessary. |
| A replacement is needed | The new file has a new returned link | Update the publication location and verify that link; do not assume in-place version replacement. |
To save a web page as a PDF, use your browser's print-to-PDF or a dedicated page-conversion tool first. Upload that resulting PDF here only after reviewing its content and size. This hosting workflow does not fetch an arbitrary page and render it for you.
Questions about this guide
Can the PDF page upload a 100MiB document because the site supports 100MiB media?
The current dedicated PDF form limits selection to 10MiB. Use its displayed limit rather than transferring an audio or video allowance to PDF uploads.
Will every browser display the PDF inline?
No. The browser, document features and destination settings determine whether it is displayed or downloaded. Test the intended reader and provide a clear download link.
Can I replace a document while keeping the original URL?
Do not assume that another upload replaces an existing object. Use the new returned link and update the pages or messages where the previous revision was published.
